Printing method

what is direct to garment prining?

design

our team of researchers and graphic artists work together to creAte both vintage style & original artwork. these t-shirt designs are then stored on our computer system. our computers are connected directly to our high-end direct to garment printers.

pre-print

our high-quality blank t-shirts are prepared for printing. A pretreatment solution is applied, this is done to keep the white ink from discoloring the shirt, smearing, or mixing with the other colour inks. once treated The shirt is then cured with a heat press. This process flattens the fibers to ensure a smoother printing surface.

printing

The t-shirts are then carefully aligned over a flat platform, known as a platen. once centered over the platen the t-shirts are held in place by a metal frame & flattened out one last time before being fed into our top of the range printers.

post-print

After a double print (ensuring the most detailed design) the t-shirts are then placed back in the heat press. this process cures the ink to ensure it beds into the t-shirt and lasts as long as it possibly can through repeated washes (unlike other print methods such as screen printing, vinyl heat transfers and sublimation printing)
